The evolution of the AR15 has made the longer, free floating handguard standard operating equipment.  The longer the handguard, the better.  The Big Timber Brake was designed to not only be an outstanding compensator, but also to eliminate the gap between 15” handguards and 16” barrels.  The Big Timber is counterbored .75” allowing the brake to slide over lightweight and HBAR sized barrels and make a beautiful, seamless transition between the handguard and muzzle. The Big Timber Brake is a very effective compensator.  After multiple rapid fire and full auto test sessions, DoubleStar has the Big Timber tuned to keep the muzzle virtually stationary while unloading ammunition as fast as possible.
