The Faxon Superfinished 6.5 Grendel/ARC Type 2 Bolt Carrier Group (Nitride) is engineered for reliable function in the Grendel/ARC bolt-face family. Seeing “MIL-SPEC” as just the starting point, Faxon refines materials, inspection, and surface treatment to deliver smooth cycling, consistent lockup, and long service life.

This BCG uses a Type II (.136″) bolt machined from 9310 tool steel, fully MPI tested, heat treated, and shot peened. Bolt lugs are chamfered to help support reliable cycling under demanding conditions and across varied load profiles.

The bolt and carrier are treated with salt bath nitride to increase surface hardness, reduce resistance, and provide superior corrosion resistance versus typical chrome or phosphate finishes. Faxon’s Superfinish further reduces friction and fouling for smoother operation and easier maintenance
