The Vltor VC-1 Compensating Flash Hider is made of 17-4 stainless steel, and features a black oxide surface treatment. This muzzle device features an open-bottom, five-port design. Thread pattern is 1/2-28 (RH). This muzzle device is generally long enough to bring a 14.5″ barrel up to the legal 16″ minimum after being pinned and welded.
The VC-1 was designed to be compatible with the Gemtech HALO suppressor, and features the proper slighly-radiused shoulder that the newer generation of HALO suppressor collar mounts require.
***NOTE: The Vltor VC-1 comes with a peel washer. This type of washer differs from a standard crush washer. Please study the proper installation procedure for a peel washer before installing.
